Welcome!
On behalf of our entire Student Council I welcome you to our new Webpage. This year will prove to be an exciting one for Student Council as well as our entire school, and we hope to use this Website to reach out to the entire Hatboro-Horsham community. In order to be successful in all of our endeavors, we must foster effective communication between Student Council and the many stakeholders of the Hatboro-Horsham community.
This year will be a year of change and innovation, and, based off of the ideas generated by our Student Body and Student Council we hope to create and execute several new events and activities. We also hope to continue to organize and reinvigorate events such as Feed-A-Friend and the Homecoming Dance, which have become traditions in our school and community.
This upcoming school year also presents many opportunities for our school. As this fall’s historic Presidential Election approaches, we hope to plan events and initiatives that will increase awareness and civic engagement among our peers. We also hope to encourage collaboration between our school’s numerous organizations and activities in order to better serve students and the community. For more information on our ideas and plans for the upcoming school year, I encourage you to browse our website and view our Strategic Plan for the 2012-13 School Year.
Our Student Council is a diverse organization, composed of members of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. The impact that we have on our school and community is huge, and through our hard work and determination we have been able to do great things. It is our responsibility to strive to improve our school by representing student opinions and interests, encouraging our peers to become civically engaged and to participate in school affairs, developing a sense of responsibility for conduct and behavior, and fostering pride in our school and community. We, as leaders, must challenge ourselves to constantly work towards these goals, while encouraging our peers and classmates to do the same.
With the support of the Hatboro-Horsham community, we will be able to do great things. I encourage you to explore our website, learn about our organization, and ultimately reach out to us and get involved. Together, we must embrace our past, while also innovating and initiating change, all for the betterment of our shared community.
I encourage you to contact me with any ideas, concerns, and suggestions you may have. I look forward to working with you to improve our community and serve our students.
Best,
Sean Raymond
Student Body President
